A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to invalid addresses under the very same domain name. For instance, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can receive messages from mates or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

Configuring a catch-all mailbox will be remarkably easy if you have a website hosting plan with our company. You can enable this option through our advanced, albeit user-friendly Email Manager tool, which is built into the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll manage the hosting account itself. You will find all the email addresses that you have set up displayed in alphabetical order and to the right of each one of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately inform you whether a particular mailbox stores all the email messages for a given domain name or not. With a single click on the icon you can enable or disable the feature at any moment. If there’s enabled email forwarding or if a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a specific domain name, you will get a warning from our system. The latter won’t replace/deactivate anything automatically and without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all option can be enabled effortlessly in case you have a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you have created with the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be shown in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll notice a small logo handily located directly next to each of them. With just one click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with the option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate this feature through the context menu that will appear. If any of the requirements for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will let you know, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
