Memcached in Website Hosting
If you host script-based websites in a website hosting account with our company, you’ll be able to add Memcached to your shared web hosting plan with just a few mouse clicks via your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. The upgrade will be available momentarily and, since the extension needed for it is already installed on our advanced cloud hosting platform, you can begin using it right away. To give you more flexibility, we offer two different upgrades related to the number of instances (i.e. how many sites will use Memcached) and to the amount of memory that the Memcached caching system will use. The latter comes in increments of 16 megabytes and you can order memory as many times as you wish. Logically, the more memory the Memcached caching system is allowed to use, the more content it will cache, so in case you’ve got a resource-intensive website with a lot of content, you may require more memory so as to be able to make full use of the power that Memcached can offer you.
Memcached in Semi-dedicated Servers
You can get the Memcached object caching system as an upgrade with all our semi-dedicated hosting plans and since it works with any script-driven software application, you can use it for each Internet site that you host on our semi-dedicated servers, no matter what application you have used – Mambo, WordPress or Joomla™, a custom-built one, etc. You can add the upgrade through the corresponding section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel from which you manage your semi-dedicated account, and you can select two different features – the instances and the amount of memory that they will use. To put it simply, these things specify the number of the Internet sites that will use the Memcached system and the amount of memory that the system will be able to use to store your content. The two things are offered independently for more flexibility and one instance does not come with a pre-defined amount of memory. You can make the most of Memcached with any kind of website and both you and your site visitors will quickly perceive the difference in the performance.
Memcached in VPS Servers
Memcached is included by default with every VPS server offered by our company on the condition that you select Hepsia as your hosting Control Panel, so you will not need to pay anything extra to be able to take advantage of the potential of this caching system. The more powerful Virtual Private Server hosting package you pick, the more system memory Memcached will have for content caching purposes, but you will have at least several hundred MB all the time, which is much more than the amount of memory you would get with a shared web hosting plan. This will allow you to use the Memcached caching system for lots of sites, irrespective of how heavy they are, which in turn goes to say that you can use a low-end package for them without overloading the VPS server. The caching system is perfect for script-driven software applications such as Joomla™, OpenCart, WordPress or Mambo, and you can utilize it even with a custom app. Soon after you enable the Memcached caching system, it will begin storing information and you’ll notice the enhanced overall performance of your sites.
Memcached in Dedicated Servers
Any dedicated server that’s ordered with our Hepsia Control Panel comes with Memcached already installed by default, so you can start using this data caching system as soon as the server is fully functional, without needing to activate or upgrade anything. The amount of memory that Memcached can use depends on the very server that you’ve selected, but as our servers are really powerful and due to the fact that it is likely that you’ll host resource-demanding sites on them, the minimum amount of memory that the system can use will be three gigabytes. This will enable you to boost the overall performance of very large websites without effort and you’ll note the difference shortly after Memcached starts caching database calls. You can take advantage of the caching system with any database-powered web page, including those based on widely used Content Management Systems like WordPress and Joomla™.
